Expert Profile:

Chen Jie is a young researcher specializing in Physical Geography at the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University. Her research focuses on paleoclimatic numerical simulations, currently investigating vegetation and climate changes in East Asia since the Holocene, as well as vegetation-climate feedbacks. She has published eight papers as the first author or corresponding author in journals such as Science Bulletin, Geophysical Research Letters, Quaternary Science Reviews, and Science China Earth Sciences. Her work has been highlighted by Nature, featured on the cover of Science China Earth Sciences, and won the second prize for hot papers. She has led projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and co-managed an international cooperation project under the National Natural Science Foundation of China. She serves as a review editor for Frontiers in Earth Science and as a reviewer for journals including Communications Earth & Environment, Journal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, and Advances in Atmospheric Sciences. During her doctoral studies, she visited the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research in Germany and Stockholm University in Sweden.

Lecture Description:

This lecture will share insights and anecdotes about living in Sweden, including how to quickly integrate into local life and overcome language barriers.
